75 DBU Launched by PM

PM Inaugurate 75 DBUs Today

Today prime minister Narendra Modi launched 75 digital Bank units across 75 district in India. 11 public sector banks, 12 private banks and a small finance Bank are participating in the endeavours. The program participating by the union finance minister Nirmala sitaraman and the governor of reserve Bank of India Mr shaktikant Das by video conversation. 

There are many entitlements of digital banking unit. Digital banking unit outlets will provide a variety of digital banking facilities to people such as opening of saving account, balance check, printing passbook, transfer of funds, investment in fixed deposites, loan application, stop payment instruction for check issues, apply for credit and debit cards, view statement of account, pay taxes, pay bills, make nominations among others etc.

As a part of union budget 2022- 23 finance minister had announced the setting up of the 75 digital banking units in 75 districts to commemporate 75 years of India's independence.
